Money VS Wealth

Do you know the difference between money and wealth? Well if you don't.... Read up!!!

Money: is any object or record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a given country or socio-economic context.

Wealth: the abundance of valuable resourses or material possessions, which includes assets that are tangible( land and capital) and fincncial (money,bonds,etc)

There is a clear difference in money and wealth... Money will hold you, Wealth will sustain you. In the African American community the disconnect comes from how we spend our money rather than investing or saving!!! Many times we all see the things that money can buy but not the benefits that wealth gives. In most homes we are not taught to keep money we are taught to make money..... Its sad to say!! No one ever told us to save some for those " Rainy days". But we are quick to say we can not catch a break " the white man has it good, they never seen a rainy day" that very well could be true but in the same instance the "white man" may have a savings account that allows him to live and the same level while going threw hard times. My challenge to you is to figure out which one you Rather have Wealth or Money?

Sunday Dish

While Laying in Bed Sunday Afternoon, I begin to notice that on most Sunday's I sit back and reflect on my past week, and make notes for my week to come. So I figured that it would only be right if I have A entry every Sunday called Sunday Dish!! So here it goes!!





Looking back at my week I have learned A lot of things about myself and others, but one thing that stood out more then others is being true to myself!! Its crazy how people will cut you down to get ahead, My friend always told me at the workplace say little or nothing at all, And honestly I totally see what she means by that. When any company is forced to do lay offs folks true colors, come out some for the good...others for the bad!!! It sad to say, who are you selling your soul too? Its kinda sad and pathetic it truly makes me more aware of who I choose to have "water cooler" chats with!! I guess thanks for the heads up!! Hopefully everyone that is affected by the lay offs find peace and new jobs!!





Also since starting my blog, I have found a few people not supportive of my endeavor or maybe mad at some of the things that I have blogged about! At the end of the Day this blog site it about my truth... its not about your opinions and your truth!! In anyway do I want to step on anyone toes I just want to make sure that My true feelings,ideas,and thoughts are on my page!!

I have been Blessed this Summer to work with a AMAZING artist.... The best part about it is...she offered to teach the children two classes a week for free!!! Live...Laugh...love

The Term LIVE LOVE LAUGH has never describe me as much as it does now.... I am Super Excited About life Right Now...... Everything is not perfect but I do believe that I am on the path to a better me!! Life always have a way of working its self out for us.... When you sit back and look at all the things you have in your life you have to take inventory and make changes. From my experience sometimes you have to take some people out of your life to enhance your life. Loving someone is one thing but letting them drain you physically...mentally...financially is another thing. You don't have to necessarily take them completely out of your life just change their role in your life. Often times people do things that may affect you more then they think, it does not mean for you to stop loving them. It really mean for you to stop allowing them to hurt you. Sometimes you have to handle a friend/family member on a hi and bye bases. Keep all contact on a very basic level and live with that. The year 2010 was to date the worst yet best growing year of my life. I was out of work and was in a very bad way!! In those twelve months I Found out a lot about myself and those around me. It was crazy because those who I expected to give me a helping hand gave nothing.. And threw all the Rain I also found my mate... I was so blessed to have amazing parents and friends, I don't know where I would be!! From helping me with rent,paying bills,putting food in my home,doing my hair or just money in my pocket they did it..without me even asking!! Thanks... Dez,tonette.shan,ashely J, Mo, inglish and chace!! there are truly no words that express the gratitude and respect I have for you guys!! You where with me during a very trying time I am always indebted to you guys for that!! Okay enough with that!! I have always considered myself to be a great friend...so I guess its finally paid off!! like the saying goes people and things are in your life for a reason or a season.... I am enjoying my new season with my new love and my renewed friendships!! You have to take the bitter to get the sweet!! And I am in Bliss right now!!! Always remember nothing last forever so live...laugh..love

Happy Birthday Baby

Singing Happy Birthday tooo yoooo..... Recently celebrated my boyfriends birthday.... If you know me then you know I am a Birthday Queen!! I feel like you have one day a year that is all about you!!! I feel like A birthday is A reason to celebrate you have made it another year.. you beat the odds..learning things gained friends and maybe even lost some!!! You gained loved ones and even lost some!!! Its a BIG DEAL!!! My Boyfriend loves poker so the only right thing to do was get him a poker themed cake made!!! Because he is such a low key person I only invited people he deal with on a daily bases!! I planned a night of bowling.... The original plan was to go to Main Event because they have a great package for 9.95 unlimited bowling,laser tag,pool, and golf!! Due to it being the summer it was packed( which it really was not) and they stop selling bands... which I found odd because we could still purchase lanes for 25.00... Yeah that's some set up Sh@*!! So not to ruin my BF birthday I called the bowling center around the corner to see if they could accommodate us and they were able to do that plus much more!! AMF LANES IS THE BOMB.COM... no jokes!! The staff was super Friendly... the specials where great actually better then main event!! The service was so on point I just had to call the General Manger!!! We bowled..... ordered some wings and appetizers and a few pitchers of beer!!! We had so much fun!!!! They actually had to turn the lights out on us... We where having so much fun we forgot to cut the cake!! So after that we went to a taco cabana down the street and sat on the patio...and the party continued!!! I am so thankful for such great People in my life.... these are the moments I live for!!!

Circle Of Love

Congrats to the Newly Married Couple Ced and Felicia!!! I was able to witness the lovely couple exchange their vows Sunday June 26.2011 at 7:45 on Galveston Beach.... Such a beautiful event!! surround only by family and close friends the when the Couple tied the knot!! The wedding party was small three bridesmaids/Groomsman's..... Thank God Texas showed us favor because it was actually a Nice afternoon and the sunset was picture perfect!! I consider her to be like a sister to me so I cried like a Baby.....I wish them the best now that their journey has started.... Their Circle of love is now complete

27 Dress Less

People have always told me girl I can see you as the girl off of 27 dresses you have so many Friends... And in my mid twenties I thought that I may as well become that girl. But now the ripe old age of 28 I have yet set foot in a bridesmaids dress! Sometimes I can barley believe it myself.... Don’t just throw me into any ones wedding... I want my friends to get married!!! For me being in someone wedding is almost the highest honor in friendship.... I think that’s a way you say not only do I want you to come to my special day but be apart of my special day.
